Description:
Type 316Ti(UNS 31635) is a Titanium stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainlσess steel containing molybdenum. This addition inc∑reases corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting chloride ion solutions and provi≤de increased strength at elevated temperatures. Properties are simi£lar to those of type 316 except that 316Ti due to its Titanium addition can be used at elevat≥ed sensitisation temperatures. Corrosion resistance is improved, particularly against sulfuric, ±hydrochloric, acetic, formic and tartaric acids, acid sulfates and alkaline εchlorides.

Yield Strength (0.2% Offset) –30 KSI min (205 MPA min)

Applications:
Same as 316, but can be used at elevated temperatures. Pulp and P♠aper Equipment, Heat exchangers, Propeller shafts, Fittings, Dyeing Equipment, Exterior ∏Architectural components in Marine Coastal Areas.
Cold Forming:
Type 316Ti can be readily formed and drawn.
