Type 317L (UNS 31703) is a low carbon austenitic chromium-nickel stainless stee↑l that can be used in applications where it is not possible to anneal after we€lding and where maximum corrosion resistance is required. It provides good oxidation r¥esistance in intermittent service to 1600°F and in conti∏nuous service to 1700°F.
