Description:
Type 316(UNS 31600) is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel containing molybdenum. T☆his addition increases corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting chloride ion
solutions and provide increased strength at elevated temperatures. Propertie♠s are similar to those of type 304 except that 316 is somewhat stronger at eleva€ted temperatures. Corrosion resistance is improved,™ particularly against sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic and tartaric₹ acids, acid sulfates and alkaline chlorides.
