Description:
Pure nickel materials of different purity are mainly used in the fields of chemical industry, e€lectroplating and electronics. Its corrosion resisδtance has good corrosion resistance in other reducing media except for its poor perform®ance in alkaline media. Pure nickel has higher electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and αplasticity than nickel-based alloys. Pure nickel can be processed into produ♣cts of different shapes.

The characteristics of commercial pure nickel or low alloy nickel are very useful in many≤ fields, such as chemical processes and electronics. Nickel ha♠s some resistance to various reducing chemicals, and r esistance to caustic is irreplaceable. Compared with nickel-based alloys, commercial pure nickel has higher conductivity and thermal conductiviφty, as well as higher Curie temperature and good magnetostrictive properties.© Annealed nickel has low hardness and good ductility and flexibility<. These properties, combined with their good solderability, make the metal easy to form. Nickel has a relatively low rate of work hardening, but it ®can be cooled to a medium strength level and maintain its ductility.
N6 pure nickel alloy has good mechanical properties and excell•ent resistance in many corrosive environments. Other useful features of the al→loy include its magnetic properties, magnetostrictive properties, high thermal and electrical ÷conductivity, low gas content and low evaporation pressure. ≥The corrosion resistance of N6 makes it particularly useful in applications such as fo♣od, man-made fibers and caustic that require product purity. It is also widely used when corros$ion resistance is a primary consideration in structural applications. Other φuses include chemical drums, electrical and electronic components, aerospace, and missile components.

N6 pure nickel alloys have good mechanical properties "at higher temperatures, however nickel 200 is typically li©mited to use below 600 °F (315 °C). At high temperatures, the nickel 200 product wilπl be graphitized, which will seriously degrade the performanceΩ of the product. When used above °F (315 °C), nickel 201 is more commεonly used. Pure nickel N6 and nickel N4 are structural materials approved by ASME Bσoiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The N6 approved service temperature can reach 600°F (315&d★eg;C) and the N4 approved service temperature can reach 1250°F (677°C).
Corrosion resistance of pure nickel
Pure nickel is particularly resistant to alkali corrosion and is$ stable in high temperature or molten alkali, so it is mainly us£ed in the alkali industry. Nickel is extremely stable in seawater and salt solutions and organic¥ media (such as fatty acids, phenols, alcohols, etc.) at room t☆emperature. Not resistant to inorganic acid corrosion✔, also unstable in acetic acid and formic acid.
