Description:
Incoloy 330 (N08330) is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy designed for oxidation and carb©urization in high temperature environments. The nickel content of 34% to 37% gi ves the material a high resistance to chloride stress corrosion♦ cracking and sigma phase precipitation embrittlement. The material is processed b∞y standard machining procedures for stainless steel and nickel al✘loys. It is widely used in the environment of combination o×f cyclic heating and carburizing to resist corrosion. Incσoloy 330 stainless steel is an austenitic heat and' corrosion resistant alloy with a combination of strength and resistance to carburizat≤ion, oxidation and thermal shock resistance. This alloy is deΩsigned for use in high temperature industrial environments δwhere the combined effects of carburization and thermal cycling are nec₩essary, such as in the heat treatment industry. Carburizing and oxidation resista≈nce to about 2100 °F is an increase in the silicon> content of the alloy.

(2): 460 Joules/kg/°C (0 - 100°C) (Coke/kg/Celsius).

Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel base alloy corrosion resistance:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) has excellent corrosion resistance, especially for ox∑idation, carburizing and nitriding environments. In an aq≈ueous medium environment, the chromium component of 330 is resistant to oxidative en≈vironmental corrosion, and the nickel component enhances® resistance to reducing corrosion. The high nickel content of the alloy gives the ma↕terial a strong resistance to chloride stress corr♠osion cracking and sigma phase embrittlement.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel-based alloy oxidation resistance:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) has excellent oxidation resistance and excellent anti€-fouling ability at temperatures up to 2000°F (1095°C). Any oxide sca≠le will adhere tightly to the surface of the material, especially under alternating t♠hermal and thermal cycling conditions.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel-based alloy carburization resistance:
35% nickel and a certain amount of silicon give the material excellent resistance t↕o carburization. Alloy 330 exhibits excellent resistance to "green rot&q∞uot; in alternating environments of carburization and oxidation.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) Ni-based alloy heat treatment:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) is an austenitic stainless steel that cannot be hardened by he♣at treatment. Hardening can only be achieved by cold working to reach room temperature strength. ↔For most high temperature applications, 330 is not annealed after cold forming or welding. If the material needs to be completely annealed, it shoγuld be carried out at a temperature range of 1870-2050 °F (1020-£1120 °C). Water quenching of the material gives the best creep resista•nce, but the same effect can be achieved by rapidly cooling to below 800 &d©eg;F (425 °C).
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel base alloy manufacturing:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) alloys can be hot formed or cold formed using stand•ard procedures for austenitic stainless steels and nickel alloys. The work hardening rate of the alloy can be compared to other austenitic stainless steel☆s. It is recommended to shape the material at room temp≠erature. If the material requires hot working, the material should be uniformly heated to 2050-<2150 °F (1120-1180 °C) and then lowered to 17501⁄4 °F (950 °®C) for thermal insulation. The material should be cooled by water quenching.
We recommend annealing after hot working to ensure the best corrosion res♠istance and optimum grain structure of the material. The ✘material cannot be forged or bent in the range of 12×00-1600 °F (650-870 °C) because the ductility of the material is low in this teβmperature range, which may cause the intergranular structure of th≤e austenitic alloy material to rupture.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel-based alloy welding:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) can be welded by tungsten arc welding, electrode welding and plasm♣a arc machining, and the best corrosion resistance is obtai♦ned by tungsten arc welding. Prior to welding, the material should be anneal±ed and kept clean and free of dirt, grease and other ≤impurities. Grinding should be performed within one inch of both sides of the joint. The temperature between the solder layers should not exceed 300 °F ↔(150 °C), and heat treatment is not required before or after sΩoldering. Alloy 330 can be welded to different types of metals.
