Hastelloy C22 is based on C276 to improve the chromium content of the alloy and reduce molybden um and tungsten, of which the carbon and antimony content is extremely low, Ωwhich is to improve the corrosion of strong oxidizing medium of C4 and C2σ76. Hastelloy C-22 Material Description:
C-22 alloys have outstanding resistance to pitting, seam corros♥ion and stress corrosion cracking. Because of its higher chromium content, C-22 is more resi₩stant to corrosion than oxidizing acids and acid-rich residues such as dissolved oxygen, iron ions ÷and liquid chlorine. The alloy is only used in a small₹er range than the C-2000. Used in most corrosive environments and most complex phεarmaceutical reactors for flue gas desulfurization systems.
Hastelloy C-22 corrosion resistance:
The alloy is suitable for use in a variety of chemical process industries containing oxidizing an♣d reducing media. The higher molybdenum and chromium content make the alloy resistant ★to chloride ions, and the tungsten element further enhances its corrosion resist≤ance. Hastelloy C-22 is one of only a few materials that ↔are resistant to the corrosion of moist chlorine, hypoδchlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. Corrosion resistance and main use environment:
The C-22 alloy has the characteristics of corrosion resistance to both oxidizing acid and reduεcing acid by virtue of the contents of Cr, Mo, W and the con trol of the Fe content, and also has corrosion resistance when containing a mixed acid. The alloy is partic₽ularly suitable for pitting and crevice corrosion in acid halide environments. C-22 nicke←l-chromium-molybdenum alloy, like C-276, contains tungsten and very low levels of carbon and silicon. It also has the same characteristics: 1. Excellent corrosion resi"stance to most corrosive media in the oxidized and reduced state. 2; Excel÷lent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
The C-22 alloy is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungs↑ten alloy with better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum↑ alloys, including C-276, C-4 and 625 alloys. C-22 alloy has good resistance to pitting, cre<vice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to aqueous solvents, i ncluding wet chlorine, nitric acid or a mixed acid of oxidizing aci§ds containing chloride ions. At the same time, C-22 all≠oys also have the ideal ability to withstand the reduαctive and oxidative environments encountered during the process.
