Description:
Incoloy 330 (N08330) is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy designed for oxidation and carburization in high temperature environments. The nickel "content of 34% to 37% gives the material a high resistan✘ce to chloride stress corrosion cracking and sigma ph≈ase precipitation embrittlement. The material is processed by standard machinin$g procedures for stainless steel and nickel alloys. It is widely used in the environmen×t of combination of cyclic heating and carburizing to resis☆t corrosion. Incoloy 330 stainless steel is an austenitic heat and corrosion resistant alloy with αa combination of strength and resistance to carburization, oxidation and thermal shock resistance. This alloy is designed for use in high temperature industrial envir≤onments where the combined effects of carburization and thermal cycling are necessary, suc≈h as in the heat treatment industry. Carburizing and oxidation resistance to about 2100 °F is an increase in the silicon content of the alloy.

Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel base alloy corrosion resistance:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) has excellent corrosion resistance, especially for oxidation, carburizing and nitriding environments. In an aqueous med✔ium environment, the chromium component of 330 is resistant to γoxidative environmental corrosion, and the nickel component enhances resistance to reducing corrosion. The high nickel content of the alloy gives the≈ material a strong resistance to chloride stress corrosion ®cracking and sigma phase embrittlement.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel-based alloy oxidation resistance:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) has excellent oxidation resistance and¶ excellent anti-fouling ability at temperatures up to 2000°F (1095°C). Any oxide scale ♠will adhere tightly to the surface of the material, especially under alternatin₩g thermal and thermal cycling conditions.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel-based alloy carburization resistance:
35% nickel and a certain amount of silicon give the material excellent resistance to carbu"rization. Alloy 330 exhibits excellent resistance to &qu↓ot;green rot" in alternating environments of carburization and oxidation$.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) Ni-based alloy heat treatment:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) is an austenitic stainless st eel that cannot be hardened by heat treatment. Hardening can oγnly be achieved by cold working to reach room temperature strength. For£ most high temperature applications, 330 is not annealed after cold forming or welding. If the mπaterial needs to be completely annealed, it should be carried out at a temper↕ature range of 1870-2050 °F (1020-1120 °C). Water quenching of the material give≈s the best creep resistance, but the same effect can be achieved by rapidly cooli$ng to below 800 °F (425 °C).
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel base alloy manufacturing:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) alloys can be hot formed or cold formed using standard pro•cedures for austenitic stainless steels and nickel alloys. The work hardγening rate of the alloy can be compared to other austenitic stainless steels. It is recomm ended to shape the material at room temperature. If the material r<equires hot working, the material should be uniformly heated to δ2050-2150 °F (1120-1180 °C) and then lowered to 17501⁄4 °¶;F (950 °C) for thermal insulation. The material should be cooled by water quenchi↑ng.
We recommend annealing after hot working to ensure the best cor'rosion resistance and optimum grain structure of the material. The material cannot be forged o≠r bent in the range of 1200-1600 °F (650-870 °C) because the ductility of the material isΩ low in this temperature range, which may cause the intergranular st✔ructure of the austenitic alloy material to rupture.
Incoloy 330 (N08830) nickel-based alloy welding:
Incoloy 330 (N08830) can be welded by tungsten arc wel₹ding, electrode welding and plasma arc machining, and the best corrosion resistance is obtained↓ by tungsten arc welding. Prior to welding, the material s hould be annealed and kept clean and free of dirt, grease and other impuri£ties. Grinding should be performed within one inch of both 'sides of the joint. The temperature between the solder layers should✔ not exceed 300 °F (150 °C), and heat treatment is not requireβd before or after soldering. Alloy 330 can be welded to different types of metals.
