Description:
254SMO is an austenitic stainless steel. Because of its high molybdenum cont§ent, it has very high resistance to spot corrosion and crevices corrosion.  ∏;254SMO stainless steel was developed and developed for use in halαide containing environments such as seawater. 254SMO also has$ good uniform corrosion resistance, especially in halide containing acids, su↕perior to ordinary stainless steel. Its C contains <0.03%, so it is called pure au stenitic stainless steel. Super stainless steel is a kind of special stainless s§teel, first in the chemical composition is different from ordinary stainless steel, is a high alloy stainless steel containing high nickel,α high chromium, high molybdenum. Among them, 254SσMo containing 6%Mo has very good local corrosion resistance≈, good pitting resistance (PI≥40) and stress corrosion resistance under the conditions of s>eawater, aeration, gap and low speed scour. It is a substitute material for Ni-based alloy a§nd titanium alloy. Secondly, in the performance of high temperature or co₹rrosion resistance, with more excellent high temperature or corrosion resistanceφ, is not replaced by 304 stainless steel. In addition, from the classif§ication of stainless steel, special stainless steel metallographic struc®ture is a stable austenitic metallographic structure.
Because this special stainless steel is a kind of high alloy material, so in the manufac↕turing process is quite complex, generally people canφ only rely on the traditional process to make this special↓ stainless steel, such as perfusion, forging, calendering and so on.

High temperature resistant
1. Extensive field experiments and extensive exper↓ience have shown that even at slightly higher temperatures, 254SMO has a very high resi≠stance to crevice-corrosion in seawater, which only a few types of stainless stee<l have.
2. 254SMO's corrosion resistance in acidic and oxidizing halide solutions suc¶h as those required for paper bleaching production is comparable to that of the ♥most resistant nickel-base and titanium alloys.
3. Because of its high nitrogen content, 254SMO has a higher mechanical strength than other kinds of austenitic stainless steel. In addition, 254SMO has high ductility and impact strength a£s well as good weldability.
4. The high molybdenum content of 254SMO enables it to have a higher oxidation ra&te at annealing, resulting in a rougher surface than ordinary stainless steeδl after pickling. But this has no adverse effect on th↓e corrosion resistance of the steel.
Application:
1. Ocean: Marine structures in the Marine environment, seawater ↔desalination, mariculture, heat exchange of seawater, such as thin-walled¶ condensing pipes cooled by seawater in power plants, desalinatio n equipment, even in equipment where seawater may not flow, etc.
2. Environmental protection field: thermal power generation fl&ue gas desulfurization device, waste water treatment, the main parts are: absorber tower™ body, flue, door panels, inner parts, spray system, etc.
3. Energy: atomic power generation, comprehensive utilization of coal, tidal power generation, etc.
4. Petrochemical industry: oil refining, chemical equipment, petrochemical equipment, such as bellows in petrochemical equipment, etc.
5. Food field: salt making, desalination industry, such as salt making ∞or desalination equipment, soy sauce brewing, etc.Ω
