Description:
254SMO is an austenitic stainless steel. Because of its high molybdenum content, it has very high resistance to spot corrosion and crevices corrosion. &nbs←p;254SMO stainless steel was developed and developed for use in halide containing environments suc©h as seawater. 254SMO also has good uniform corrosion re≠sistance, especially in halide containing acids, superior to ordinary stainless steel. &nbs p;Its C contains <0.03%, so it is called pure austenitic stainless steel. &nbs±p;Super stainless steel is a kind of special stainless steel, first in the chσemical composition is different from ordinary stain€less steel, is a high alloy stainless steel containing high n$ickel, high chromium, high molybdenum. Among them, 254SMo containing 6%Mo ha♦s very good local corrosion resistance, good pitting resistance (PI≥40) and stress corrosion re₩sistance under the conditions of seawater, aeration, ±gap and low speed scour. It is a substitute material for Ni-ba§sed alloy and titanium alloy. Secondly, in the performance of hi∑gh temperature or corrosion resistance, with more excellent high temperature or corrosion resistance, is not replaced by 304 stainless stee'l. In addition, from the classification of stainless steel, speciαal stainless steel metallographic structure is a stable austenitic metallographic structurαe.
Because this special stainless steel is a kind of high alloy materi÷al, so in the manufacturing process is quite complex, generally people can only rely on the traditional process to make this special stainless steel, such asβ perfusion, forging, calendering and so on.

High temperature resistant
1. Extensive field experiments and extensive experience have shown that even at slightly high®er temperatures, 254SMO has a very high resistance to crevice-corrosion in seawater, which only a f ew types of stainless steel have.
2. 254SMO's corrosion resistance in acidic and oxidizing halide solutions such as thos™e required for paper bleaching production is comparable to that of the most resis€tant nickel-base and titanium alloys.
3. Because of its high nitrogen content, 254SMO has a higher mechanical strength than other kinds& of austenitic stainless steel. In addition, 254SM€O has high ductility and impact strength as well as g☆ood weldability.
4. The high molybdenum content of 254SMO enables it to have a higher oxidat☆ion rate at annealing, resulting in a rougher surf≠ace than ordinary stainless steel after pickling. But this has no adαverse effect on the corrosion resistance of the steel.
Application:
1. Ocean: Marine structures in the Marine environment, seawater desalination,∑ mariculture, heat exchange of seawater, such as thin÷-walled condensing pipes cooled by seawater in power plants, desalination equipment, even> in equipment where seawater may not flow, etc.
2. Environmental protection field: thermal power generation flue gas desulfurization device, waste water treatment, the main parts are: absorber πtower body, flue, door panels, inner parts, spray system, etc.
3. Energy: atomic power generation, comprehensive utilization of coal, tidal power gδeneration, etc.
4. Petrochemical industry: oil refining, chemical equipment, petrochemical equipment, such as bellows in petrochemical equipment, etc.
5. Food field: salt making, desalination industry, suεch as salt making or desalination equipment, soy sauce brewing, etc.
6. High concentration chloride ion environment: papermaking indust®ry, pulp and paper bleaching equipment, such as pulp digeste±rs, bleaching equipment, filter scrubber barrels and press rollers and other bleaching equipment
