Description:
254SMO is an austenitic stainless steel. Because of its high molybdenum content, it♥ has very high resistance to spot corrosion and crevices corrosion. 254SMO stainless s↓teel was developed and developed for use in halide containing environments sucΩh as seawater. 254SMO also has good uniform÷ corrosion resistance, especially in halide containing acids, sup¶erior to ordinary stainless steel. Its C contains &l≈t;0.03%, so it is called pure austenitic stainless steel. Superε stainless steel is a kind of special stainless steel, first in the chem•ical composition is different from ordinary stainless steel, is a high ×alloy stainless steel containing high nickel, high chromium, high mαolybdenum. Among them, 254SMo containing 6%Mo has very good local corrosion r≈esistance, good pitting resistance (PI≥40) and stress corrosion resistance under the βconditions of seawater, aeration, gap and low speed scour. It is£ a substitute material for Ni-based alloy and titan≈ium alloy. Secondly, in the performance of high temperature or corrosion resistance, with more excellent high temperatur<e or corrosion resistance, is not replaced by 304 st₹ainless steel. In addition, from the classification of stainless steel, special s₩tainless steel metallographic structure is a stable austenitic metallographic structure.

High temperature resistant
1. Extensive field experiments and extensive experience hav&e shown that even at slightly higher temperatures, 254SMO has a very high resistance to crevice×-corrosion in seawater, which only a few types of stainless steel have×.
2. 254SMO's corrosion resistance in acidic and oxidizing halide solutions such as those requir♥ed for paper bleaching production is comparable to that of the most r←esistant nickel-base and titanium alloys.
3. Because of its high nitrogen content, 254SMO has a higher mech&anical strength than other kinds of austenitic stainless steel. In addition, 254SMO has high ductil≠ity and impact strength as well as good weldability.✔
4. The high molybdenum content of 254SMO enables it to have a higheσr oxidation rate at annealing, resulting in a rougher surface than ordinary stainless steel a≠fter pickling. But this has no adverse effect on the corr®osion resistance of the steel.
Application:
1. Ocean: Marine structures in the Marine environme$nt, seawater desalination, mariculture, heat exchange of seawater, sφuch as thin-walled condensing pipes cooled by seawater in pow₩er plants, desalination equipment, even in equipment where seawat×er may not flow, etc.
2. Environmental protection field: thermal power generation flue gas desulfurization device , waste water treatment, the main parts are: absorber tower body, fβlue, door panels, inner parts, spray system, etc.
