Description:
254SMO is an austenitic stainless steel. Because of its ∏high molybdenum content, it has very high resistance to spot corrosion and crevices cor€rosion. 254SMO stainless steel was developed and developed for use in halide containi<ng environments such as seawater. 254SMO also has good uniform corrosion resist<ance, especially in halide containing acids, superior to ordinary stainless steel. ;Its C contains <0.03%, so it is called pure austenitic stainless steel. Super stainless steel is a kind of special st₽ainless steel, first in the chemical composition is different from ord∑inary stainless steel, is a high alloy stainless steel containing high ×nickel, high chromium, high molybdenum. Among them, 254εSMo containing 6%Mo has very good local corrosion resistance, good pitting resistance (PI≥40) and stress corrosion resistance under the conditions of seaw≠ater, aeration, gap and low speed scour. It is a substitute material for Ni-ba™sed alloy and titanium alloy. Secondly, in the performance of high temperature or c>orrosion resistance, with more excellent high temperature or corro≠sion resistance, is not replaced by 304 stainless steel. σ; In addition, from the classification of stainless steel, specialπ stainless steel metallographic structure is a stable austenitβic metallographic structure.

High temperature resistant
1. Extensive field experiments and extensive experience have shown that <even at slightly higher temperatures, 254SMO has a very high resistance to crevice-corro™sion in seawater, which only a few types of stainless steel have.
2. 254SMO's corrosion resistance in acidic and oxidizing halide solutions such δas those required for paper bleaching production is comparable to that of the most resistant nicke≥l-base and titanium alloys.
3. Because of its high nitrogen content, 254SMO has a high<er mechanical strength than other kinds of austenitic stainless steel. In addition, 254SMO has high ductility and impact strengαth as well as good weldability.
4. The high molybdenum content of 254SMO enables it to have a♣ higher oxidation rate at annealing, resulting in a rougher surface than ordinary stainless stee€l after pickling. But this has no adverse effect on the corrosion resistance of the s←teel.
Application:
1. Ocean: Marine structures in the Marine environment, seawater desalination, maricult€ure, heat exchange of seawater, such as thin-walled con•densing pipes cooled by seawater in power plants, desalination equipment, even in equipment where s↓eawater may not flow, etc.
