Description:
Hastelloy is a nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy, which is mainly divided into nick≠el-chromium alloy and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. ★Hastelloy has good corrosion resistance and thermal stability, and is used in aviation and c¶hemical fields. Hastelloy is the general name for the commercial grades of nickel-bas¶ed corrosion-resistant alloys produced by Hastelloy International.

Hastelloy C22 is based on C276 to improve the chromium content of♠ the alloy and reduce molybdenum and tungsten, of which the carbon and antimony content is ex★tremely low, which is to improve the corrosion of strong oxidizing medium of C4 and C276. Although® the corrosion resistance of the oxidizing medium is improved, pitting corrosi×on resistance and crevice corrosion are not significantly improved. It has excellent £resistance to stress corrosion cracking and good resista≥nce to local clothing. It has satisfactory corrosion resistance in many chemical process media. Because of its extremely l£ow carbon and niobium, it is very suitable for corrosion-re≤sistant welding in the chemical industry. Equipment, containers, pipelines with≠out the risk of sensitization. Hastelloy C-22 alloy has exceptional resis×tance to a variety of chemical environments, including st₩rong oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, copper chloride,∏ chlorine, hot contaminated solutions (organic inorganic), formic acid, acetic ac∏id, acetic anhydride, Sea water and salt solution. Hastelloy C-22 Material Description:
C-22 alloys have outstanding resistance to pitting, seam corrosion and stress corrosion cracki≥ng. Because of its higher chromium content, C-22 is mo♠re resistant to corrosion than oxidizing acids and acid-rich residues such as dissolved oxygen, Ωiron ions and liquid chlorine. The alloy is only used in a sm™aller range than the C-2000. Used in most corrosive environments and most complex pharmaceutic♦al reactors for flue gas desulfurization systems.
Hastelloy C-22 corrosion resistance:
The alloy is suitable for use in a variety of chemical process industries con taining oxidizing and reducing media. The higher molybdenum and chromiu₹m content make the alloy resistant to chloride ions, and the tungsten element further en hances its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy C-22 is one of only a few materials that are resistant to the corrosion of moist chlorine, h ypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. Corrosion resistance and main use environment:
The C-22 alloy has the characteristics of corrosion resistance ↑to both oxidizing acid and reducing acid by virtue of the con tents of Cr, Mo, W and the control of the Fe content, and also has corrosiπon resistance when containing a mixed acid. The alloy is particularly suitable for pittin±g and crevice corrosion in acid halide environments. C-22 nickel-c±hromium-molybdenum alloy, like C-276, contains tungsten♥ and very low levels of carbon and silicon. It also has the same characterist€ics: 1. Excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in the oxidized and redu®ced state. 2; Excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosionπ and stress corrosion cracking.
