Nickel-based superalloy INCONEL 690 has excellent corrosion resistanc↔e and thermal stability. Excellent resistance to fluoride and hot nitric ∏acid; excellent resistance to acid solution corrosion an"d stress corrosion in chloride and polythiol acid m₩edium; good crevice corrosion in alkaline medium and oxidation resistance inγ high temperature atmosphere And chloride corrosion and so onσ.

Inconel 690 (UNS N06690) nickel-based alloy with a chromium content of 27.0-31.0% and a nickel-®based alloy with a nickel content of approximately 59%←. Inconel 690 (UNS N06690) nickel-based alloy has exce×llent resistance to intergranular corrosion and intergranular stress. The ability of§ corrosion cracking is mainly used for the heat transfer tube m∏aterial of the steam generator of the pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant. The material ∑of the steam generator heat transfer tube of the pressurized water reac tor nuclear power plant has undergone a development process, including 304 austenitic  stainless steel, 600 alloy, 800 alloy and 690 alloy. Corrosioφn failure studies in the service of 600 alloys show that intergranular corros€ion and intergranular stress corrosion cracking are the main problems.Ω 690 alloy is used as the heat transfer tube material for the steam generat≠or of the pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant.
